Mari Giudicelli, Designer + Model

Shoe designer and model Mari Giudicelli grew up in Brazil with her mum and grandma, which inspired her love of handcrafts. She went to art school in Rio de Janeiro, and then packed her bags for New York when she decided she wanted to make wearable art. After studying at Parsons, FIT, and taking a specialist footwear course, Giudicelli dove into the world of shoemaking.

Her signature, laid back Leblon mules quickly gained fans around the world, allowing her to expand her namesake collection into a serious operation. We stopped by her Williamsburg apartment down by the river to ooh and ahh over her shoe collection (naturally) and talk about her rituals.

Lexie Smith, Artist + Baker

Driven to investigate the idea that the human digestive gut is a central hub for both societal and emotional cues, New York-based Lexie Smith realises her findings through a multitude of artistic outlets. By creating a combination of historical breads, delicately sculpted wooden tools and curating a space of culturally disturbing newspaper headlines, Lexie feeds her fascination with the relationship between our internal organs and our psychological state.

Lauren Spencer King, Artist + Teacher

By harnessing her own personal rituals, Los Angeles-based artist Lauren Spencer King has found a way to lend her experience and knowledge to others, sharing her love of nature's healing properties and the power of breath in both her paintings and meditation classes. Celebrating the idea of a daily practice, Lauren's work teaches others that ritual can be a useful tool for everyday use.

Kimbra Audrey, Self Portrait

Paris-based photographer Kimbra Audrey (contributor to Vogue Italia) created a series of self portrait images for Sans [ceuticals]. After spending the past decade modelling, she decided to turn the camera on herself. To Kimbra, there is nothing more intimate and healing than taking self portraits.

Kathleen Whitaker, Designer + Ceramicist

Jewellery designer & porcelain ceramicist, Kathleen Whitaker is best known for her simple geometric designs––most notably her original staple and sequin studs. Originally from New York City, Kathleen studied Russian literature and ceramics in New Orleans before moving to Los Angeles, where she developed her jewellery practice.

Kathleen’s work celebrates modern sculptural shapes & simplicity. Her namesake line is worn and loved by many, with a following that’s quickly spreading across the globe. Working exclusively in 14-karat solid gold, sterling silver and more recently with gem stones, her pieces are created for a lifetime of wear –– something which we greatly admire about Kathleen's design ethos.

Captured in her chic studio in downtown Los Angeles by Nastassia Brückin, we are excited to share Kathleen’s rituals for life + holiday season…

Kai Avent de Leon, Sincerely Tommy

Kai Avent de Leon is the proprietor of Sincerely Tommy, a concept store and coffee shop in Brooklyn's blossoming Bed-Stuy neighborhood. Fostering a sense of community, Sincerely Tommy is a calm and beautifully curated hang-out spot, and an unexpected source for lesser-known fashion and jewellery lines, tokens from de Leon’s travels, and the store’s recently launched namesake clothing label.

A thoughtful entrepreneur, de Leon is dedicated to nourishing herself so that she can do the same for others; frequently travelling to far-flung destinations to cultivate her inner world, rather than getting swept-up in a social media feedback loop. The result is an interesting and eclectic life well lived, and a business that reflects it.
