At sans, we believe in the quiet power of being without.
Sans, [without]
The Abundance of Less
We are taught that to live better, we need more.
More steps.
More ingredients.
More layers.
More stuff.
But a better way of being doesn’t need more, it requires less.
Because by stripping away the unnecessary, we unlock focused and intentional practices grounded in science, sustainability, and functional minimalism.
Practicing this sentiment in their daily work are textile artist Natalie Robb of Ahuru Knitwear, photographer and mother Ophelia Mikkelson Jones, German ceramicist Elena Renka, and our very own Founder Lucy Vincent. Our Abundance of Less series reveals each practitioner in their natural state, commenting on how they live without compromise, without clutter, without waste and without noise.
With thanks, Ophelia Mikkelson Jones, Natalie Robb, Elena Renka and Lucy Vincent.
