By removing the noise of expectation, Elena allows her objects to naturally evolve from their organic material language. To have the capacity for this, one must create a sanctuary, a place of solitude and quietness, with enough distance from the fast-paced world to see the clay through from block to vessel.

Clay is also a material that demands time: to shape, to dry, to scrape, and to fire. Much of the making happens away from the object—a wander through the garden or a cup of tea in the sun.

Here, slowness is encouraged.

We are inspired by Elena's daily practice, a ritual that comes without noise or distraction, crafted to gift her quietude, and resulting in an offering that is pure and unique.
