Barrier+ is a steroid-free treatment butter for compromised, reactive skin: dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis-prone, sensitive, inflamed and very dry skin. It calms, soothes, reduces the look of redness and deeply repairs the moisture barrier.

It’s formulated specifically to bring relief to eczema-, dermatitis- and psoriasis-prone skin — without steroids. Soothing actives (niacinamide, oat, kawakawa, mānuka honey and pre/pro/postbiotics) help calm inflammation and rebuild the barrier. In dermatological patch testing on sensitized, atopic skin it was confirmed non-irritating and non-sensitizing (GBA Polska, 2025). It supports skin but isn’t a medicine; for diagnosed psoriasis, keep your doctor in the loop.

The main difference is texture and focus. Both contain 5% niacinamide, but they’re geared differently: Cellx 5 (a lighter lotion) leans towards anti-ageing and UV repair, while Barrier+ (a rich butter) is geared towards relief for reactive, atopic skin, with oat, kawakawa and mānuka honey to calm and soothe. Some of it also comes down to whether you prefer a lotion or a butter. If eczema or dermatitis is your main concern, choose Barrier+; for daily face-and-body hydration, tone and texture, choose Cellx 5.

Yes —if pairing with Activator 7, apply Barrier+ first followed by Activator 7. This allows the soothing niacinamide, oat extract, and panthenol to absorb into the skin first followed by a nourishing layer of oil to seal everything in. If pairing with Cellx5 Lotion, apply Cellx5 first followed by Barrier+. The general rule is apply lightweight products first followed by heavier products.
