I find that most of my real “inspiration” to create and reconsider comes from being out in the world: museums and flea markets come to mind specifically. I love going to a different flea market most weekends to look at vintage pieces, which always inspired me to push boundaries and create pieces that sometimes are a bit complicated but always pay off in the final product.
Because of the strict fashion schedule I work within, my days are often spent in production and “work mode,” rather than having the spaciousness for free flowing creative thinking. I find that I often need to take a step back and get away from daily emails and usual to-dos in order to get into a space where I can think about creativity outside of the context of what I'm "supposed" to do... sometimes that means taking a day off or going on a spontaneous mini vacation.
A long bath, complete with epsom salts and candlelight and a facial. I like them better than massages. There’s something about a head massage after a face mask that sends me into a state of bliss.
Yoga 2-3 times per week.
Cooking together and connecting over a shared meal.
Writing everything down! I'm very analog when it comes to productivity: I make a daily list and do a modified version of bullet journaling. Practicing mindfulness allows me to consider my reactions to problems and solve them in a more effective and efficient way rather than letting pure emotion guide my reactions.
