Earth Day marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. Here's what we've been thinking and tinkering on as we look to celebrate this year's theme: 'Invest in our planet'.


We’ve never really talked about what we do from a ‘sustainable’ point of view, we’ve just gone and done what we thought was the right thing to do by our values: cruelty-free sourcing, local production, naturally-derived ingredients, carbon-offset deliveries shipped in paper. A collection we evolve rather than expand. Multifunctional products so you use fewer. Glass and aluminium where we can, and where we haven’t, a 100% post-consumer recycled plastic system.

We are constantly questioning ourselves on how we can do it all better. If a refill comes in plastic is it really sustainable? What’s the carbon cost of sending products back onto another recycling party? To help us navigate this tricky terrain, we’ve spent nearly four years with environmental and circulatory consultants to ensure the action we take doesn’t negate the sustainable ambitions we have. We’re almost there with an improved offering that takes all of this into consideration, launching towards the end of 2025.

What actions have we taken?

+ All ingredients are 100 percent biodegradable.

+ All ingredients are from sustainable resources.

+ Products are designed to be multifunctional, reducing consumption and waste.

+ Our current collection utilises a mix of glass, aluminium and in the case of plastic — we are currently transitioning our range to a 100% post-consumer recycled material that is food-grade and BPA-free.

+ We use 100 percent recyclable aluminium foil tubes that can be placed in your recycling bin.

+ All packages are delivered in 100% paper packaging.

+ Packaging is kept to the bare minimum.

+ We use vegetable dyes for all print material.

+ Our power is sourced from a provider that uses renewable energy.

+ Wherever possible shipments are sent via seafreight.

+ All our packages are delivered to customers in a carbon-neutral manner.

+ We are set to launch a circular, refillable solution late-2025.
