The city comes alive during the fall with many art and cultural events happening around it. While I love attending those events, I also love to make a little space for myself, sometimes listening to 'Another Way' by Amadou and Mariam, or Cham Cham by El Michels Affair. — Naveli Choyal, Photographer

I've been listening to Paolo Conte - specifically his eponymous album that starts with "Sparring Partner." I've listened to him for years, but the other day while choosing the right music to set the tone in the shop, I realised I hadn't listened to him in a very long time. One of my simplest joys is playing full albums. His quirky Italian jazz style is the perfect mood lifter and I like to think it's an unexpected sound in Coastal New England. Kiran Dass's Word Festival

I've really wanted to make a trip to Austin to see "The Worlds of Gertrude Stein" at the Harry Ransom Center. It looks at Stein through not only her writing but also the home and life she made with Alice B. Toklas in Paris—their ideas around art, taste, beauty and domestic life. I love seeing how someone's life and surroundings find their way into what they make. — Ally Walsh, of Canyon Coffee.

I just gifted myself a couple of Beatrice Valenzuela necklaces. They are all tied by hand using colorful knotted silk and are just so special. I love the parthenope layered with the onyx. The light and dark are so beautiful together—the perfect equinox pairing. — Laura Schoorl, Pansy
